The official announcement is here! Ryan Paevey (Christmas at the Plaza) will star in TWO Christmas movies this holiday season on Great American Family! He joins Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison, and Danica McKellar in doing so.
Co-starring with Ryan in his new holiday movie, The Ornament Library, is Merritt Patterson (‘Twas the Text Before Christmas).

NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Great American Media proudly announces the World Premiere of The Ornament Library, starring beloved fan favorites Merritt Patterson and Ryan Paevey, streaming on Great American Pure Flix, Thursday, December 3, before premiering on Great American Family and GFAM+ , Saturday, December 5 (8p).
Great American Christmas, one of the most anticipated holiday events on television, continues its sixth season with an extraordinary collection of Original movies pairing the genre’s most beloved stars with stories made to become Christmas traditions.
In The Ornament Library, meticulous librarian Alice Montgomery (Patterson) and newspaper reporter Noah Conrad (Paevey) discover a forgotten room hidden beneath their town’s historic library, filled with hundreds of Christmas ornaments containing handwritten memories from generations past. As they set out to reunite each treasured keepsake with its rightful family, the pair rekindles a cherished Christmas tradition, strengthen an entire community, and discover that the greatest gifts of the season are the stories – and people – we carry in our hearts.

Are you excited for this NEW Christmas movie? I think The Ornament Library sounds VERY intriguing!!!! I mean, who doesn’t love an adventure with Christmas, romance, and a scavenger hunt?
The storyline is giving me the feel of Christmas at the Plaza meets A Vintage Christmas meets Meet Me in the Margins!
First, the popular Christmas movie, Christmas at the Plaza, which of course starred Ryan Paevey, was all about ornaments. In that film, he was assisting a historian; in this new movie, he’ll be helping a librarian.
Second, A Vintage Christmas, which stars Merritt Patterson, is about finding the owner of Christmas Letters to Santa; in The Ornament Library, they are locating the owners of ornaments.
And lastly, there’s a mention in The Ornament Library storyline of discovering a secret room, and of course there was also a secret hidden room in Merritt Patterson’s rom-com movie, Meet Me in the Margins.
So… it should be interesting to see if there are other similarities!
